The Spanish region of Tarragona is located in the southern area of the Catalonia province. This is an area known for its magnificent beaches with clear water and golden sand, bordering the Mediterranean Sea. Beyond the beaches, Tarragona offers abundant opportunities for sightseeing due to its unusually high concentration of monuments, archaeological sites and tourist attractions.

One of the most notable sites worth exploring is the Iberian settlement of Castellet de Banyoles. History and archaeology fans alike will find themselves absorbed in a time capsule. This Iberian settlement is from the Pre-Roman period and dates back to the 2nd century B.C. Discovered in 1912, it has come to be known as “the treasure of Tivissa”, mainly due to the articles gathered from the site, such as silver, pottery and coins.

The municipality of Tivissa in Tarragona has plenty to offer backpackers. Its cultural heritage and richness is evident in the various historical churches and chapels, which are architectural treasure of their own. Other sites to explore around the Old Town include The Walls, King’s House and Old Castle. Hikers will delight in excursing through the Path of the Muleteers, Borjos Walk, The Cave Painting Route, and The Cultivated Garden of Tivissa. A trip to Tarragona is truly a unique opportunity to get up close with a wealth of cultural heritage from ancient times.

Backpacking and camping are fun trips for the family. You can make these trips exciting and fun without spending a great deal of money. Try to find a campsite that lets you take your own tent. If you can take a tent instead of a camper, you will save on the electric cost. Most places will have lower rates for those who bring tents. Utilize the bathroom facilities at the campground you are staying at. Take showers at the campsite, and bring your own toiletries instead of using the ones the facility has.Get more information here. http://howardmeyerson.com/2012/04/05/fees-reduced-at-rustic-state-forest-campgrounds/ You can also bring your own food to prepare. Small grills are available at most campgrounds for visitors to use.
When you go get ready for your backpacking trip, try not to rely on the park to furnish the items you need. Bring your own backpack and stock it with sunscreen, snacks and water bottles. You can also pack a camera so that you can capture the wonders of nature. Pack a light lunch so that you and your family can eat on the trail. Make sure to wear good walking shoes so that you don’t have to depend on the bicycles and trucks from the park you are hiking at.

Many people take vacations because they wish to get away from the stresses of everyday life. This is incredibly effective as many come back from these getaways to find that they are refreshed and are able to take on the work that is set before them. One of the most popular destinations for those who are looking to take vacations is beaches. Beaches provide the optimal atmosphere for relaxation because they most often features soft breezes, clear water and large amounts of sunshine. Beaches are a place where one can simply lay in the sand and watch the waves wash over their feet.

As with any vacation, beaches require certain preparations in order to get the full amount of enjoyment. It is important to have sunscreen when one visits the beach or else a great deal of sunburn will be acquired. This can lead to lots of pain and anguish. Many people also like to bring towels, blankets and umbrellas with them in order to dry off in the sun, tan and protect themselves from more sunlight. With all this equipment and preparation one can be sure that they will have an excellent trip to the beach and will return rested and relaxed, ready to take on any task.

Backpacking in Tarragona can be a beautiful experience. If you are truly a backpacker and have yet to experience what Tarragona beaches has to offer. You can find a piece of the experience here. Tarragona is a place where backpacking is an adventure. There are so many accommodations that allow you to enjoy your trip, like hostel booking and student travel. But besides the accommodations, there are many things to see.

The one thing you must see as a backpacker are the beaches. Beaches are the most beautiful part of Tarragona and it makes backpacking all the more enjoyable. What makes backpacking on Tarragona beaches so much fun is that there are so many beaches located on a long stretch of land. The gorgeous cliffs and spiked covered headlands.

Arabassada Beach is popular amongst most backpackers. It’s easy to arrive either through walking or taking the bus. And you will find that most younger people enjoy this beach compared to others.

Cala Crancs is a beach that is considered smaller than the rest. It is surrounded by rocks on both sides and houses smaller crowds. This beach is more attractive to people looking for a quiet place to hang out.

Outside of these two beaches there are more than a handful of beaches to backpack to and enjoy throughout your backpacking visit. If you like what you see, keep going: How to Get the Most Out of Your Hotel Stay
